AirTV's first big event of the year is taking place on Wednesday the 28th of September from 6:30pm in lecture theatre 2W1 in Cottrell.
At the Lock In, attendees will be split into groups of 10-15 people, given equipment including a camera and a tape, and then have 3 hours to make a short film - from initial ideas and scripting to filming and editing.
All of the films will be screened in the Media Office (opposite Studio in the Student's Union), whereafter our impartial judges will choose a film and the winning team will be awarded a small prize.
After the screening, at around 10pm, we'll head to Studio for an informal social to discuss the films, have a drink and chat about future AirTV projects.
The Lock In is free to attend and open to all, so whether you're an AirTV veteran or have never held a camera before in your life, come along, get to grips with our equipment and meet the friendly faces of AirTV!

AirTV in Las Vegas

On Monday the 28th of November, Envy will be transformed into Las Vegas for the Joint Media Awards!
Doors open at 7pm for a 7:15pm start, so head down promptly to grab a seat. AirTV will be awarding some pretty snazzy trophies for Best Producer, Best Director, Best Personality, Rising Star and Best Show, with some sneaky and secret alternative awards on the night too.
Tickets are £3 and can be bought from the Media Office or on the door, with all proceeds going to the media societies. As the theme is Las Vegas, all sorts of costumes are encouraged - from James Bond style tuxedos suited to the casino tables, to Elvis impersonations, show girls, and giant human-sized poker chips. So basically, get creative as anything goes!
