AirTV Winter Awards

Founded in 2009, the AirTV Winter Awards was setup as a mini-Oscars event, as another opportunity for student film-makers to get their work shown on the big screen and to generate the same sense of buzz and excitement throughout the year. Similarly celebrating film-making talent in much the same way as the Oscars, the Winter Awards runs First, Second and Third place awards for films voted upon entirely by the audience on the evening.

While the event is relatively new, the success of the 2009 event has ensured the continued running of the Winter Awards in future years. The Winter Awards 2010 are currently under discussion and development. While the first year ran in Pathfoot Lecture Theatre, this year an exciting proposed new venue is being discussed and details will be announced shortly.
